Apple's top-end laptop runs Vista better than a high-end Sony Vaio

You could swear there was a mac forum on myadsl with all these apple threads :confused:

Exactly. The VAIO used is over a year old and the setup is not optimised for Vista.... i.e. no longer the "top-of-the-range". A realistic comparison would be with a current "Vista-ready" dual core machine, but having said that, the hardware is going to be so similar that the performance will be likely identical.

I dont think the Mac is optimised for Vista either so I think that is irrelevant.

There are plenty of dual core Windows laptops available.

The headline should read latest Windows laptop runs Vista better than laptop using older technology.
