Im finishing my contract with autopage on the 1st of october, and i don't wish to continue/upgrade the contract.. But i want to keep the number as a prepaid subscriber.
You know what the call center tells me?
"im sorry sir, you cannot keep your number if you go onto full prepaid. You need to go onto the half contract-half prepaid option and pay R75 a month, so you get R75 worth of airtime per month."
And this is to keep my flipping number
This makes me so angry,
FFS.. theyre ripping me off.Theyre blackmailing customers because they know we wont change numbers...
The sad part is i'll probably be forced to go onto their stupid 1/2 prepaid-1/2 contract option for obvious reasons
I hope they rot in hell!!!
Has any1 else experienced problems with autopage? because this is the first time for me....
I lost my number that way with AP.But I'm glad I left 4 years a go.Wait for portability.Than there is no way in hell that they can steal your number that your paid for in full.Regards & Good Luck...........

Altech Autopage?
HHmmm... I am actually thinking of going with them for my next upgrade, because they are the cheapest on the deals so far that I have seen.
I picked up something odd last night though where they wanted to charge an additional R399 if I am with another SP (nashuamobile, cellucity, etc.), and not with them, in addition to paying a payin fee for the phone, which I thought a bit odd, so ye...

Why not continue your current contract until MNP is operational? Unless it's a financial answer... :/.
I'm with APC - used to work for them . I'm keeping my number until MNP hits us properly (I'm told it's imminent ;)). Then it all depends on who can give me the best offer.

Don't they offer 4U contracts? The 4U contract has a zero monthly subscription. It's like "postpaid" prepaid. The money goes off your bank account at the end of the month. And it is a month-to-month contract. The 4U contract isn't well known among the dealers.
Try and get one, but prepare for a lot of hassles. I just battled for almost 3 weeks to get a 4U contract for my wife. Numerous phone calls, empty promises, etc. etc.

@Raithlin.. dude did you see the new date MNP will be launched? it aint happening anytime soon...So i dont wanna pay R75 pm for such bull crap, but i suppose ill have to go with them..
@lildeath.. Ye its altech autopage cellular.. They do have the cheapest deals, thats y i signed up with them in the first place, but if you ask around, the arent revered for their integrity. They always try these funny tactics... I have heard problems from friends but i never beleived them until today...

I also have a lot of friends that are complaining about Autopage. They all got caught by the silly specials.
I'm with Nashua Mobile and constantly amazed by the good service and able technical assistance.
//end my 2c.....

Yup, same here, I am never dealing with Autopage ever again, they are scum
I was with Autopage for my first contract, never personally had issues with them... maybe since my family had two branches at the time and could get watever I wanted done rather fast, but I moved for the sake of a better deal at Nashua Mobile, and they also pretty good.
I would still however recommend going straight to VSP, MTEL or Third Network stores
Vodacom/Cell C/MTN Direct

I have got a few lines with Autopage, no hassles what so ever.
My only problem with them is the fax spam they send me. Everyweek they fax some rubbish contract deal to my fax machine.

Autopage are useless, MNP was postponed, the final decision as received on Thursday's Trade Communication is that the date of MNP coming into effect is 12 November 2006.
