What’s the bet that, that exclusive usage SAT3 contract of Telkom’s gets renegotiated come April 2007. Nothing I’ve read so far has convinced me that this won’t happen. There’s nothing I’ve seen that’s going to force Telkom to share, but hey, I could be wrong, what do I know! Then where do we as consumers stand?
Telkom said that there can be no extension to the rights that are already contained in the SAT-3 agreement.

the agreement cannot be changed and as such no extension or diminishing of rights or changes in rights can be made other than what is already provided for and contained in the agreement
Does that mean cheaper data rates from Virgin? It sweetened its launch by signing up about a dozen clients, including competitor Telkom, 50 percent stake subsidiary Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, Internet Solutions, MWeb and arivia.kom.
LOL, it also cranked me up a bit, but it's not really expected as both networks need access to the other's infrastructor to start up or survive. It's called payback and it's very sweet. Neotel has signed up a lot of the market to their network infrastructure. Telkom has to sign up for their services if it wants to give its customers access to the content on Neotel's network and believe me they do. Telkom will now at last be able to justify the price they ask their customers, but only if they are the isp. They will have to decrease the price they ask for access to their network if they don't want to lose even more customers to their competitor and pay even more over to them. There will at last be some middle ground in regards with their isp and wholesale prices.Ermm what's happening hereIt sweetened its launch by signing up about a dozen clients, including competitor Telkom
