i reckon its cool to experience things b4 they come out...show all ur friends etc..
obviously i wouldn use it as my main MXIT, ut keep this installed as well as the V3.

curiosity i guess. But ja, the version coming out around the 25th will hopefully contain little bugs. Apparently (according to the beta testers on the forum), the leaked version wasnt as ironed out as u wud want a proper version to be

If we were beta testing a web application and requested that it not be leaked to the public until it was ready i would like it if the testers would not share a beta web app. So, no I will not share the beta version with anyone, you can check the blog for v5 updates, i believe beta2 will be availbe to the beta testers tomorrow.

rafiq,how do you see/conclude that your phone could need a 'reformat' by loading a Java app on your phone? Maybe if there was some kind of Java virus in the file,only newer phones would/could be 'affected'.

Series 60 phones could only really be affected... and i dont think the virus could be loaded from the .jar , it would probably have to be .sis and -any- s60 phone you buy should come with some anti-virus protection. The whole reformat situation is bs, hes just trying to get people paranoid about using the "omg hacked" .jar

Well, MXit 5 has a new authentication mechanism. So that you can't just use any copy of it's .jar. It has to be a freshly downloaded one from www.mxit.co.za/wap
