Hi all
I went in to the local VM branch (within a music store) for a VM SIM, and
when I said that I wanted to use it for data was told that they don't have stock and I need to go to Sandton/Eastgate VM stores.
Is the SIM for a data card different to an ordinary SIM? If it is, does anyone know if they are in stock in Sandton/Eastgate?
Cheers

Just looked at another thread and found this:
The new 128k sims are the only Virgin Mobile sims that works in the MTN Huawei E620 Data Card. The sims you get when you buy the starter pack doesn't work in the Data Card as well as some Devices.
Piesang, I need one too. What info do I need to PM to you?
How do I load MBs onto a prepaid SIM? I've browsed the VM site and can't find anything, and the local branch don't know much about data...

I replied to your e-mail this morning.

I would hold off for a while until VM has sorted out their compatability problems. I have been waitin over a month for my new SIM.
There must be only one guy in China making them and he is on leave.
There also seem so be a proble with frequent disconnects.
VM has not even got a REP for this site. The only one who is of help is piesang.
Come on Virgin, what does it cost to pay someone to sort out all these problems. Even to inform us what is happening.

I agree, i'm gonna buy a data card as soon as they've fixed up the problem.
