I thought I would let people know what Durban Wireless have been up to over the last month.
Over the last month we have a few more people link into the Durban network growing that nicely.
We have this last weekend finished linking the Westville and Durban networks together.
It has been in the pipelines for over a year now and finally we have done so bringing excitement to the members and the challenges of a growing network.
People continue to show interest and the main question that is asked is “How can I join DWC?” (or any WUG for that matter)
People are under the impression that you have to be able to link to the main network. This is not true as what has been shown over the last year with the Westville network growing on that side of the hill and the Durban network growing.
So start with your nextdoor neighbour and then grow from there. You will then be able to peer your network with a neighbouring network and that network with the one next to that.
So find a mate close by and connect to him.

if you not in Durban start your own WUG in your area. I see interest in Richards Bay and PMB
http://www.wug.za.net is a site for all the the SA WUGs and thanks to the guys that have put that up.
What next? Well anyone in the greater Durban area that is running a small network, peer with our existing one.
We have interest from many areas from people south to Queensburgh, to Bluff, Pinetown, hillcrest, even Ballito.
We have nodes in Bluff, Glenwood, Berea, Westville.
