I have a Cell C USB GSM/GPRS/EGDE modem, and use it in my Sony Viao notebook.
When I start the software, it doesn't show the GSM Network or the Broadband type and (sometimes) shows the voltage.
For GPRS/EDGE stuff (using the Internet), it is fine, and does everything it's meant to.
When I try to use the GSM functions (SMS, Query Airtime balance), though, I get errors, usually around the modem not being installed properly.
I've worked with Cell C support online and in shops for about 5 hours. Tried the modem on 2 other dektop PCs, and it works perfectly. I contacted Sony to see if they knew of anything, but nothing.
I was wondering if anyone had seen this before, either on the Viao or on any other machine.
