First in SA: The new 3G/DVB-H Cellphone

nice...was looking forward to DVB-H.

not so cool when they bill u R2/Mb for watching CNN. So it'll prob cost like R50-R100/hour.

DVB-H is really nice quality too..

I was watching some of the soccer world cup games live on the phone and its like watching the games on tv....

Also its more feasible in SA because of the high bandwidth costs, and poor speeds..

Will the Samsung P910 really be able to view DstvMobile?

So checked up on DstvMobile's website. They are planning to do a software upgrade together with a USIM upgrade on their test phones.

Multichoice seem to be planning a form of encryption on their DVB-H service limiting other DVB-H capable devices from receiving the broadcasts.

Check it out : www.dstvmobile.co.za

Ya the sim card will have the conditional access and encryption algorithms..

You cant expect them to broadcast and every1 to get it for free, ... ;)
You'll obviously need to pay them...It works jst like a normal satellite decoder and the smart card technology in this case will be on the sim card..
