Why exactly are we going WIDE ?
Has anybody looked at an A4 page, or the book you're writing in ?
When playing a driving game i'd like to be able to see far in front, not to the left and right.
This is just silly.
It's all a side effect of cinema's not being high enough.

Never mind ... just look at what you can see when you look through your eyes.
It's WIDE.
The whole idea of widescreen is to watch movies without the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Games and the like have just adapted to allow 16:9 format, it was not orginally designed for them.
