First Of all windscreen wiper last only a few months then they start tearing apart. Today I brough my car in for service and they wanted to replace the windscreen wipers (both) of which one I replaced 4 months ago with a new one (They are expensive too, over 200 rand) They brought me home this morning after i dropped the car off for the service. They just phoned me to tell my car is finished. So I asked them if they could collect me. Seeing I am at home and there is no other transport for me. Their answer NO (This sucks citroen Centurion) (First of all I'll never buy a citroen again and I won't service it with the centurion branch again

I had the same problem with Hyundai Centurion - they gladly drop you off when you leave your car to be serviced, but then there is no-one to pick you up to collect your vehicle afterwards, and they never have a courtesy vehicle for you to use either

yep, they're all part of that multi-franchise multi - dealership or whatever

And the email of the dealer principle does not even work (Got this email address from the citroensa.co.za website)

All the french cars are expensive to have serviced, Renault and Citroen.

and if you are in an accident dont expect them to stock any parts. you can wait months for your car to be fixed.

don't buy a new car at all.

buy a 2 -3 year old models. new cars devalue to between 40-60% of their orginal price in 2 - 3years. a new car is a poor investment. once at 3 years old a cars value stabilizes and depreciates at a much slower rate

One of my first cars was a Citroen 2CV - thing used to lean like mad around the bends but somehow never fell over. :D

Um ... nooit bru ... the bed is for sleeping on .. not bouncing. :D
2 Peeps can get to Cape-Town well rested for about R250 in the van.
Makes weekend getaways sooo much more practical.

Sheesh, that's harsh. Still need a lift to the dealership? :)
Wrt, to the wipers, as SSB mentioned, use durablades if you can, oddly enough they work.

@ stoke - and have the people at caravan parks stare at your van when it bounces up and down? :D

Tell everybody you've got hydraulics in your van. :D

Generally, their cars are good. They're service centres on the other hand, are completely over priced and mismanaged.

NEVER take your car to the Menlyn Center, as you will get ripped off!!!!

Strangely enough I also had very bad service from Citroen Centurion when looking for a new car. I was very interested in the C3 until I visited the Honda dealership.

Buy a Honda and never worry again :D

I have a Citroen C5. A fantastic car and probably the nicest car I have ever owned.....BUT....
the service is a nightmare and you are LUCKY if they have parts. Imagine having to pay for a part before they are prepared to order it! Imagine you have to wait 2-3 months for spark-plug cables? Hardly ever managed to get a service vehicle. A 30 minute job will take whole day and you probably need to bring it back. And so. Well, I can tell you lots of stories.
Citroen would have been my 1st choice when I wanted to trade in my car last year, but the service (or lack of) has forced me to go elsewhere. (Still have the C5, but traded in my wifes car and got her a new 1 - no, not a Citroen!) They have lost a loyal customer. Its sad
