FEEL THE HEAT
The Town houses of two Cabinet ministers - Correctional Services Minister Ngconde Balfour and Education Minister Naledi Pandor - were burgled on Monday, police said.:D

Senior Superintendent Vish Naidu said on Tuesday police were not sure if anyone was present in the houses in Rondebosch when the incidents happened between 4.30 and 6am.

"At minister Ngconde's house we believe that the people who broke in were disturbed as they left some of the stolen items outside the house.:D "

Naidu said a DVD player, a trophy and some clothing was found outside Balfour's house. Cellphones and other electrical appliances were missing.:D

Cellphones and electrical appliances were also stolen from Pandor's house.:D

"No arrests have been made, but we are following positive leads at the moment," Naidu said. – Sapa

Hopefully this makes them want to fight crime more rather than get more security expense bill.
 
exactly, well actually i am not sure about that since they ministers.. but the point being that the easy way out would be them just upgrading their security if and saying they had sucky one.. OR they can take the proactive step and do something about crime. :/

Is this the gated community where all the MPs live? If so, it will probably turn out to be another minister's child responsible. It happened before.

How would you feel if somebody was expressing glee at you or other white South Africans falling victim to crime by saying "for decades they enjoyed exclusive security in our country at our expense, let them FEEL THE HEAT!"?

Is that not what they say here every day, Read some of the posts and note the glee of the posters towards white victims and/or the posters discussing the issues! They all know who they are!

What you mean besides now? So you say this is the first time this happened???? C'mon! Search the forum and You will see many retarded comments when news articles were printed re crime. Read the crime related threads in full!! Also study All threads by specific posters, You would know who!
 
pupa : I read most of the threads (as you no doubt know :-) ) and I can guess as to whom you may be speaking about. But I cannot recall anyone expressing glee towards a victim of crime. People might make dismissive comments, but those are directed to the people that feel the need to post negative article after negative article, not the victims of the crime
 
A crime is a crime, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But JStrike and Angelo are right in a sense that this is somewhat ironic - first people complain that there is a crime problem, but when it happens to people who they don't support then it's ok? Now if that isn't retarded then please tell me what is. Because to me it seems that what you guys are really saying is that crime is ok as long as it doesn't affect those you sympathise with.

The fact that you made a general assumption again! It's All in your mind GP. Jumping on the incorrect badwagon! No crime can be condoned towards anybody. The only thing that can be positive out of this unfortunate incident is that the minister may lobby for action, but then again it was normal housebreaking, no violence, and maybe after the insurance payed he would just ignore the incident! Not even the Royal prince's girl that was assaulted raised a GVT eyebrow!

Ironic it is.

The govt is suppose to limit crime. They are not doing it.
So please forgive us a sly smile when these fatcats get some of there own medicine because of their neglect.

Its not ok they're just saying now that its affecting the people in power maybe they'll actually do something about it. Maybe they're finally feeling the effects of their inaction the way everybody else has been for years.

Does anyone have the Google Earth co-ords for this ministerial gated community? - I'm curious as to just how snug & secure the gravy-trainers are in their little closetted world...
