What Microsoft still isn’t saying about WGA and Volume Activation 2.0

it is true...
the reduced functionality mode, however, isnt so bad.

I had a vista box at work that was installed, and I forgot to activate it (read: I fscked off on leave) hehe..when I got back it would give me the 4 prompts: use another key, reduced functionality mode...and some other rubbish. Reduced functionality mode launches a web browser so you can activate online.

Of course, nothing stopped werner from deleting the url in the address bar, typing in c: and accessing explorer, allowing me to run programs and copy data off the machine as usual (you just dont have a shell, no big deal really..)
this in itself is a lot better than xp...which only gives you the option to activate or log-off.
