If we had the same kind of telecoms cost as the UK, we would have been able to appoint another person.

Unfortunately Telkom prefers us to rather pay them than reduce unemployment. And we are a small SMME.
 
Once again another form of Telkom is ripping / crippling/ killing the local economy article...

Everyone is aware of this. Everyone, including our government.

Now if our government knows what harm telkom is doing to the country then why don't they do anything? Thats the real question and it goes beyond kickbacks and dividends from telkom...

There's a big difference between "knowing something" and "doing something" about it.

Lots of paper shuffling - but no doing.

Standard Joe Soap is surprised when he is told Telkom is charging him a fortune for an antiquated service. To be honest, most people believe that dial-up still is the international standard of getting internet access from home.
