Manufacturers fudging LCD response times?

The question really should be "when havent manufacturers been fudging LCD response times" :p

Best way would of course be to compare the screens side by side, and decide which one your eye thinks is best. But hard to do in SA, PC shops just dont cater for it...

That right is the problem. Get a set standard that everyone must adhere to and you can't get BSed anymore.
 
The last "call us for advice" sounds rather like an agent trying to save his business by promoting his bad stock of outdated LCD's IMHO!

Right ... methinks the article writer needs to go back to school.
 
Articles of this nature are written by Columnists... these guys don't do anything for free. The customer would pay them to write an article that will indirectly promote the customer's business.
 
Does it really even matter that much? Just got a Sony with 8ms response time and its fine for gaming.
