To my knowledge Tshwane is far down this line already. Cape Town is only starting a wide area fibre roll-out now - something Tshwane has completed already. Tshwane is also testing Wi-Fi in some areas. Not sure Cape Town knows what's happening elsewhere - being a sandy island surrounded by the Karoo and two oceans

lol - time will tell who gets it right.....i know there are some political complications coming up for tshwane and joburg.....To my knowledge Tshwane is far down this line already. community FTTH sceme will work

So my scheme to run FTTH under the pavement using our own community owned Horizontal directional drill is thus a way of 'helping' Capetown go fiber?

The pavement belongs to council and thus Smuts Ngoyama's Telecoms police force - Icasa can't touch our cables: IT BELONGS TO COUNCIL !
And neither will council cut our lines - thus we establish ourselves as the
defacto TNO.
Would anybody like to comment on this?
