The idea of tolling was not to make money but to maintain and improve the roads, he said.

They an go **** themselves with toll roads, I bet Gauteng pays the most of the fuel tax income they get, use that!

Jacobs said there would be an increased "roll-out of metro police on the roads" to assist commuters on how to operate the dedicated lane but that their purpose was not to hand out fines.

Somehow I have trouble believing this, I mean how much assistance do you need to "operate" a lane.

Ok granted some people probably do need quite a bit, but they did before this too and nothing was done then.
