This forum I create for dedicated Michael Schumacher fans. Please tell your fellow Michael Schumacher fans why you are so crazy about him and why you are so sad to see him go into retirement.

PLEASE this thread is not a place for Michael bashing. There are pleanty of other places that you can do that.

Only GOOD things about Michael in this thread!!!!!!

Can't say I am sad to see him go. When your team creates a situation where you CAN'T be challenged means in my mind I have to question your supremacy.
 
I think the entire F1 opposition support base are having a party right now. Michael being the best F1 racing driver that ever lived, caused many pains for the other supporters. My only problem right now who to support next, I mean there is seriously noone else with remotely the amount of talent he still has! I had the same problem after Nigel Mansel retired...
 
His last race just showed what it means to be great. Coming from the back of that pack about to be lapped to finish 5th is brilliant. If lady luck was on his side and he never got that puncture I think he would have won. I am very sad to see him go. I think Massa is great, not an arrogant punk like Alonso.
 
Supported him since when he was with benneton (1993) and his competition was Damond Hill. A real champion, and boy, could he drive in the rain!
 
I supported him from his days with Benetton when he was "the underdog". Who can forget his battles with Damon Hill and his masterful driving in the rain !

The man is a legend :cool:

Schumi was the reason I started to follow F1 and here I am all these years later, still glued to the box, race after race. I was driving a Ford at the time and I couldn't believe Benetton Ford could win the championship. How I gave it my Nissan and BMW friends.

No matter what Schumi has done as far as controversies go, he was a legend and I count myself lucky to have seen him race! I had the same feeling when Lance Armstrong retired as it was the first time I watched a Tour de France, simply to see the legend! Same can be said when I watch Tiger Woods play and I still want to watch Valentino Rossi race as well. I can go on and on but Schumi has brought a lot to F1....hey, he brought at least one new supporter - ME :D

I still have ambition to watch a F1 race live, but that's the subject of another thread :cool:
 
My heart aches now that he has retired, because I will miss him. He has earned my respect as a person and a driver. Whenever a person comes to him and asks for his autograph he stops and sign and never complains.

He has done so much for Formula 1 that I can't even count it all.

He raced every race he drove in with the same passion and energy that he drove with in his first race. A quality that has given him legendary status.

Well I know he will probably never read this, but I want to say this anyway:

"Michael you have entertained us so much with your brilliant driving through the years.Although it is sad to see you go we will always remember you and what you have done for the sport. Thank you for what you have given to us your loyal supporters throughout the years. Michael I salute you. Enjoy your time with your family you have earned it."

That's not fair calling him a dictator. He just did his job to the best of his ability. That's what F1 is to them you know, a job. Just like you have a job.
 
Michael Schumacher is a legend in his own time.

There are many people who believe that he is a cheat and only won due to the kow-towing of his team mates. I don't believe that here were any team orders when he won at Benetton.

Yes he was a hard racer who would win at any cost, but then again so was Senna, but he is treated as a god while Schumi is ridiculed.

Michael brought a new era to the sport and that is one of winning as a team which is exactly what F1 is today, a team sport. Yes he won due to his building a fantastic team around him and to do that takes more than just driving skill (something which no-one can take away from him). Does that make hime an unworthy champion? I think not.

Ask any of the current drivers as to why they are so fanatical about their fitness levels. It is due to the precedent that MS set when he started, fitness was paramount to his domination.

As much as his detractors will continue to bleat about his "unsportman-like" behaviour, nothing will take away from what he has achieved during his tenure in this sport and most aspirant drivers will continue to strive to emulate his achievements, and that is what will be remembered about him in years to come.

He was a racer through and through and the sport will miss his kind in future years.
