Anybody know of any good WEP cracking tools that i can use to get access to encrypted access points?
 
Why dnt you just do it the right way, pay and you will recieve, trust me no cracking involved, promise.. luser...
 
im not really gonna crack into access points and use their internet. I am a learner. I want to experiment and see what happens. I got internet at home. I do't need to crack to get internet.
 
K well in that case...the answer is still no.

The problem is there are people on here unlike yourself who will use these programs to crack and use other peoples internet. So I really doubt that people on these forums will publically post to tell you how to do it, well most of them any way.

A tool is not going to help you .... You need hours and hours and hours of practice .... an untraceable line, If you live in a flat install a line to your neighbor’s (LOL)....

O ja and more hours and hours and hours of trying it the good old fashion way !!!

A 10 year old could crack wep, but apparently ultra-v16 doesn't qualify because he can't even use google.
This kind of thing should not be discussed on MYADSL as it can be used as ammo against MYADSL and users should certainly not give advice, well done.
Sad situation.
 
As i said, i am only using it for learning purposes. I only got a wifi card for the first time last week
 
Actually, cracking WEP is a little more difficuly than most people think. You need a large amount of weak packets before any attempt at brute forcing the key can occur.

From experience, gathering enough of these weak packets can take some time, 2 weeks on a under-utilised AP.
 
You can inject packets even on an AP with no clients authenticated, from there the packets are multiplied using a technique called "replay".20 minutes and a million weak IV's later.
This isn't the time nor the place..
 
This is an inappropriate thread because even if you are using this for simple learning purposes and even if it could simply be googled, I feel MyADSL shouldn’t be associated with these kinds of activities! Wrong!

I think it's a cool topic to discuss. I mess around with my network now and then, it's a good way to make sure someone can't get into it. Talking about it might also let uninformed users protect themselves better.

That said... you're all probably right, and someone will use the information for the wrong reasons.

Pity...

True - best way to check if your network is secure is to don one's grey hat and check it out from the position of the opposition.

Sure, if you consider yourself as accomplished a hacker (for lack of a better term) as others, which would place you in an elite minority.

Otherwise you’re just stuffing around, and a likely majority are just simply stealing!

If this kiddie was *really* interested in (the pursuit) of knowledge, his opening gambit would be the last one he'd play ..and ultra, as it happens, yes: I do know of good ones, but I'm not about to tell you either.

But NOT for the head-in-the-sand reasons that beta & hosstheboss are busy bleating about: that way is just silly because the tools and the knowledge are very much out there in the wild and no amount of hand-wringing about it being 'wrong' will keep it from someone looking to use it for nefarious ends. No, MY reason for denying you is that your lead is, in my mind, the obvious troll of the (mentally) lazy and that's something diametrically opposed to the desire to learn ..which leads to the supposition that your stated aims may well not be what you say they are.

But it's not as if my (in)action should amount to much, the info IS out there - YOU just have to get up off your arse and find it ...happily, it's one of life's sweeter ironies that this in itself results keeping the lazy away from the toys they say they want, but aren't prepared to work for! :cool:

Thanks for the compliment bdt but if you open your eyes just a little more than your narrow mined bombastic I’m always right view point you might note that in my above post (quoted here for easy reference) I was not telling Ultra he shouldn’t do it, I’m not his dad!

What I was trying to say is that MyADSL should not be associated with this, considering the fact that MyADSL is a forum arguing for fair internet connectivity!

While were on the subject:Anybody know of any good tools that i can use to get access to a lekker BMW thats parked in my neighborhood?
I'm not really a thief but i would like how to steal one for when the time comes! Please help me out!!!!:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
