MTN Launch Credit Card!

I just got contacted by MTN, for their credit card trials. It will be a MasterCard, 55 days free interest blah blah blah.

Apparently there are only 300 hundred MTN users selected for the trail. I am not a MTN Banking customer, so they must be selected by some other criteria.

The card is suppose to arrive in two weeks time.
 
Did you take one? One day very corner shop will have their own credit cards at the rate this is going.

They are phoning everyone in the MTNSP customer database who has a suitable credit record. They phoned me today and I told them once again to stop making marketing calls to my phone.

Haven't they heard of the ECT Act? And what gives them the right to do another credit check on me to see if my creditworthiness is suitable for a credit card, when I'm an R85/month cell phone customer???

As far as I'm concerned it just reeks of incompetence, and I wouldn't touch their credit card with a barge pole.
