View Full Version : The Wife Make a Golf Observation
So I'm sitting watching the golf (HSBC Champions) this morning, with the wife (she watches whatever sport I put on.).
Watching Tiger tee off and then stepping back mumbling.
"He is such a sourpuss. He always looks unhappy. Is he always so miserable? It looks like he's going to burst into tears any minute!" she says.
Talent aside, I have to agree. Yesterday he was throwing his driver again.
With all that money and all that fame, perhaps he should begin to work on his personality. Maybe that Scandinavian blonde is not taking "proper care" of him.

So, it's agreed then - all the money in the world can't make you happy?
*Tiger makes $75 million a year.
Nor a blonde bombshell it seems.;)

obviously that excludes his 100 Million dollars a year endorsement from Nike and his many other endorsement deals?
Let's not argue amounts guys. It's plenty.
Can any of you actually imagine that amount of money? And then having such a sht attitude.

Well, in the August 2006 GQ issue, they list his earnings as :
$12 160 239 On course
$75 000 000 Off course
a grand total of $87 160 239.
I think that includes his Nike sponsorship.

Reminds me of a thought that came to me last night-
The remarkable thing about mankind is that it is amongst the most successful that I see the most pessimistic;
Whilst in the least successful, I see the most optimistic.

Being content and happy is a choice - that's something money can never buy because it's simply the wrong type of currency. Money can't buy emotions.
Most of the really content and happy people I've met are poor. People with a "I'm happy there's food on the table and the sun is shining" attitude.
As for Tiger, he needs to calm down a bit and if he can't do that maybe he should retire - I'm sure he has enough stashed away to do that. :p

He must have taken a cut from nike then :) his original deal was 100million a year for 4 years. Oh well, it's still more than he can (and does) spend.
I don't really like the man but I do envy his golfing talent :)

None of you seem to have thought that maybe he is just striving towards the best in terms of golf. If you play golf and hit a bad shot, why is it different for you to mutter and moan but when he does it its unnacceptable? He is a sportsman and like any sportsman he wants to do better and when he doesnt do something right he will be irritated or upset. We have all been there. He is no different, he is human after all.
