View Full Version : Arsenal vs Liverpool
Big game for both sides this afternoon. A loss for either team will kill off any chance of winning the Prem. A draw will end it for Liverpool while I think Arsenal could still have a bit of hope.
As a Liverpool supporter I feel there could be two scenarios if Arsenal play well.
1. We play positive football like we do at home and we will have a reasonable chance of winning. :)
2. We play "passive defensive"(my term:cool:) football like we have away almost all season and we will loose 3-0. :o
Unfortunately Sissoko is injured and this lends credence to Rafa sticking to his "passive defensive" tactics.
So as you can see I am not confident but I take reassurance after our game with Birmingham where we were more positive.

I think Sissoko's injury is an opportunity for Rafa to play Gerrard central, a position from which he greatly enhances Liverpool's attacks.

True but will he be given a licence to attack without the cover of Sissoko.

Flaminiii :)
2-0
One more and my prediction will be right. Although I think I was to optimistic. My original one was in fact 5-0 believe it or not.

2moro will be a good laugh at Liverpool fans day since they love to mock how United can't score, etc...

In fact Liverpool actually did ok. That made chances just couldn't convert. Much better performance than the United defeat a few weeks ago.
Great prediction except Liverpool actually played some attacking football.

3-0 defeat? It was more like a thrashing! I've never seen such pathetic football by the Reds. Must say I was pretty disgusted after the game. Why can't we play a decent match away, yet at home we are masters?

hehe. That means Liverpool have still not even scored from open play away from home, their one goal being that penalty on the opening day of the season earning a point in a 1-1 draw with sheffield united. Since then, they have lost five in a row away from home, failing to score on every occasion.
Unlucky.
