View Full Version : SA Guildwars Community
When I started playing GW 18 months ago, people would be surprised when you said you were from SA.
These days almost every group I join has at least 1 person from SA. That's 2/8 man team ratio.
SA community is definitely growing :D
Hell we even have our very own officially listed Guildwars.com fan site.

Thanks for all the effort you've put into it aCe :)
Now can anyone tell me - Does the WoW community have all of this? :p

WoW has a fairly large community, but its not as large as GW due to cap, lag, monthly fees etc.

Cool site
Yes, it is! ;)
hehe... Only just came across this now. I promise I didn't pay Trip any money to make this thread.
Thanks guys. The community is getting there slowly but surely. What we desperately need is activity on our forums. The only thing stopping the site from becoming an Official fan site is the current lack of activity on the forums.
We need your help to make it possible :)
Cheers,
Jason

hey aCe, maybe I must come visit there more often huh ;) It is like I am almost the only one here anyway :D
It looks like you've had a good year with the site though, when I read your last newsletter, I think.

In the beginning I tried to use your site, but to be honest, posting there was like talking to myself :p Will try to use your site from now and hope someone actually replies ;)
Now if I could only remember my nick...

If you want me to find your account for you just send me your e-mail addresses and I'll see what I can dig up.
Mail it to guildwars(at)systemshock.co.za

What server are you all playing on? I am on the American server atm, and I have just spent R520.00 on the collectors edition of Nightfall! If I could sort out a better ISP, I would be playing 24/7!

:) Thanks. I also find though that playing on the USA server gives me less lag in busy towns as there aren't that many people on at 3am their time :)

That's true IMO. I also thought they don't have much lag, or less than on European servers, i.e. better. :)
As Gary mentioned though the disadvantage is if you want to go into the elite areas where favor for your location is required, you will struggle being on the US servers. They mostly have favor when we are generally sleeping, or mostly get it from after midnight till the morning, 8-9 am. And then sometimes in between.

It is also a lot harder to form a group to do a mission when there is nobody around.
