When SA Rugby is run like this or SA sport as well, we'll never win anything major in the foreseeable future.

Two sides to the story. Sarfu wanted Jake out. Jake played along by showing little interest in winning games and plan decent strategies. Both don't want anything to do with each other anymore.

Now Jake will prob go to England and get some rugby there and get the poms to win the WC again in the future. Being an SA sports fan really sucks eggs.

It really depresses me. I think South Africa is a bit like New Zealand - when the All Blacks looses a game, the whole country is depressed.

the blue bulls want him out....probably because he didn't pick the most over rated rugby player on earth.....derick hougaard

Derick gets one hard tackle and he's off on a stretcher - the guy needs to get some muscle!

I think the unions must go back to school, they are acting like a bunch of kids... Leave Jake alone!

imagine middle management constantly critising and sometimes unjustly telling upper management what to do. in the real world....middle management will be replaced. in sa rugby, everyone has to listen too their 2c and actually believe it should matter

In the REAL REAL world, the company will have shareholders which will fire incompetent underperforming upper management. Just imagine Jake running a company......

at least NZ win games,so there population are less depressed than us,SA on the other hand simply have lost there way abit

from a country that one the world cup against most odds to a country that cant beat themselves with walking sticks.

In the real world the government will have the biggest share in the company and wont do anything about the company's poor performance :D

I really cant blame Jake for the poor performance, remember when he took over from strauli the boks had a big come back winning the tri-nations etc.. Then sad but true the government and their stupid politics starting medling more and more into the sport affairs for example when the boks lost a game Jake got blamed for nothing having enough black players in the team. I think after a while anyone who takes that much shet from government will loose their spirit.

yup...it's the system. Not Jake. If everyone left him to choose his squad, play as he wants, we might've had a good team.

Man, it will drive me up the wall if my team is dictated to me by people who don't know squat about rugby. I really don't blame old Jake.

Like Cara said, he revived the Springboks after Strauli & Kamp Draadtrek.

I think the problem is not the fact that Jake wants to give other (younger) players a chance. Lets face it, that what he's doing! Hence players out of position and looking like monkeys in Springbok gear.

IMO the problem begins when anyone (White or anyone else) wants to experiment and try combinations in test matches. TEST MATCHES ARE FOR WINNING. Every single one. Period.

If we need to experiment then lets have trial matches. The S14 and the CC are not trials enviroments for obvious reasons.

Unfortunatley in SA, a coach can't simply be a coach.

I have much sympathy for anyone taking on national coach postion, they have so much other kuk they must deal with.

True, very true. But I think the eye is on the world cup right now. That is the prize. In a way I support what Jake is doing as it makes sense with the eye on the world cup. However, what does concern me after Saturday's game is why was over 70% of the 2nd half spent in our quarter? Although our defense was very good under that amount of pressure it raises questions as far as the game plan is concerned.
