MTN service - sending emails to an MTN user's mobile

Sorry if this has already been posted and answered, but haven't been able to find the info i request now

I live in South America and I need to be in contact with a friend in SA who uses an MTN mobile. She can send me emails to my yahoo account, but she doesn't get my replies. I do receive an email from MTN telling me my email was delivered, still nothing happens her end.

Each time I receive an email from her mobile this message follows hers:

You have received this message via the MTN Mobile-mail Service. If you are
an MTN subscriber then you are able to reply to the sender of this message
by using the Reply button on your email program. You must make sure that
the email address you are sending this from is entered in the email field
on the MTN web site otherwise your mail will not be accepted. Please
remember to keep you message shorter than 130 characters so that it will be
displayed via SMS on the sender's cellular telephone correctly.

I've been in the MTN website, still can't find where to do the process. Or I just can't do anything if I'm not an MTN suscriber? Any help would be granted...

And one more question: I can send her sms' from my mobile, still she cannot reply them. I think it could be the bandwith of the cellphones, but if you think it may be something else I'd like to receive some help too

try sending to 0(7)[email protected]. I'm not sure if this still works but it used to work well. Leave the Subject blank, and limit the characters to 130.

I will test this in a few minutes and let you know if it still works.

Vodacom works and it is faster: 0(7)[email protected].

Note sure about the second question...

I just tested it now with my phone (i'm on MTN) and it works, very quick as well. I used yahoo to send the sms, but it should work with any email client.

About the 2nd q... I checked both countries share this rate of bandwith: 900 - 1800 Mhz, so I thought maybe one of the phones doesn't support it OR the company restricts the service
