I can't open the web browser on my N73 it gives me the message Web: Unable to access server if I tru and go to any website. I have all the access points and already tried a hard reset. It worked fine before I installed the latest firmware. Any help?

What connection medium are you using? Are you connected?
Maybe try and apply the OTA settings again or try a different set or set it up manually.
or phone your friendly Service Provider to assist. They know most of the phones these days and should be able to assist.

It's cool thanks I finally got it right. I got settings from the nokia website and discovered that the access point you wanna use should have no proxy its the same with opera the normal one not opera mini.

Hi, I have the same problem. Can you please give details where to find the instructions etc. and how to remove the proxy. I cant find the settings for that.

Thanks

Hello everyone. Am very pleased with my N73, but two major issues. I have had my N73 for about 3 weeks now, and for the first time tried to open Application manager. But it will not open! I tried opening it via pressing on the joystick, and via options > open. The screen goes blue/green as it usually does for entering a new screen, but then it reverts to the Tools menu screen.

Could this be why I cannot install Opera Mini? Starts the installation, but then says "unable to install". Have managed to successfully directly download and install 2 other small apps - AutoLock and sms accelerator.

Second issue is have not been able to download new Firmware because Nokia Software updater gets stuck on step 2, i.e. does not find my phone.

V2.0628.0.1 (A7.03). Code 0542457. Windows XP Sp2. PC Suite 6.4*

Thanks.

Update 1. The good news is that I can now access my Application manager. I tried to download a piece of software from My-Symbian and I got the "certificate error" message. Having read the My-Symbian FAQ on this point, I thought I may as well just try again to open the Application manager and change the certificate permission. Miraculously (it seemed to me) it opened! I was then able to download the software. It was as if my first attempt to download "woke up" the manager!

Update 2. After uninstalling PC Suite and re-installing, did manage to get Nokia Software Updater to work, but said no update available.

Neoassasin, did you get a firmware update via NSU? What is your firmware version now?

Any other N73 user manage to get a firmware update via NSU?

Nokia N73

I upgraded my contract with my 2 lines on Friday and took the N73. Have not put it down all weekend.

Firmware V 2.0628.0.0.3
27-07-2006
RM-133
Nokia N73 (E2.01)

I have had no problems, install autokey lock and other apps. Deleted apps fine with App Man. All OK

I did check with Software Firmware Update, this is a latest?

I must add that my wifes previous phone was a Nokia 6680.
Which I also did an upgrade via Firmware Update web site, it also "bombed" the phone, eventually took it to Axia for reflash. The version they put on was 2 versions higher than the "lastest" on the Firmware Update Software.

Is this the normall that Nokia only make a available firmware that is 1 or 2 versions back and if you want the latest your still have to find a Nokia Service Center.

The latest version is V3.XXXXX , i offer a while you wait service for firmware updates, if anyone is interested PM me
