Latest hardware sales in Japan..... The Xbox 360 has a 772% jump in sales. I take it they liked BlueDragon :D

Now before anyone blasts me down I do realise that the PS3 has already sold more in total and the fact that there are no PS3's around doesn't help either.

- DS Lite: 309,630 ---- 132,729 (75.03%)
- Wii: 85,439 ---- 264,919 (75.61%)
- PS3: 50,171 ---- 18,735 (59.6%)
- Xbox 360: 35,343 ----- 31,290 (772.02%)
- PS2: 30,460 ---- 7,345 (31.78%)

well the fact that PS3's are not available is not REALLY the point. This still means that people have since the release of the PS3 decided its not worth the wait and are starting to buy Xbox'es. At the very least this means that at least SOME people, who maybe woulda bought one, will not anymore or will wait a little longer. My opinion on PS3 vs Xbox is that many people decided that they would wait and see... People have now waited and have decided that they will get the Wii60 combination. Time will tell if the trend continues. It undoubtedly means that SOny is loosing some of its market share. I for one hope the trend continues....

Nah, it's all Blue Dragon. 37/40 from Famitsu, some peeps are going to sit up and take notice. I imagine it's not going to look like that next week, but hopefully they can keep it around 10k per week. Lost Planet and Lost odyssey on the way will hopefully also push sales.

I didn't want to start another PS3 bashing thread so I will merge with this one :D

I just read an article on News24 and this quote I thought was quite hard hitting

The long-delayed launch of its Playstation 3, which was meant to save the company from its other failures, was a barely unmitigated disaster.

Though there was no quibbling with its processing power, the video game console was deemed too expensive, short of compelling new games and a far less attractive proposition than both Microsoft's Xbox 360, and Nintendo's Wii, which are both significantly cheaper.
