!!!!I think norton is making my games lagg!!!!

OK, i really am out of ideas, my dad is refusing to help cuz he already did once but.... long story. Ok, so, i just got rid of a really really really bad virus that made my computer crash and im thinking like yea, back to Call of Duty Multiplayer. Gmae is version 1.5 . so, when i go in, i go to join game, and join my clan server. everything fine when im only using 2d stuff?? I go in game and woopdy doo, its laggin like a B**ch. NO clue why? It happened before and a reinstall of Norton Internet Secuirty 2005 fixed it. now its happening again. PLZ help, im counting on you guys:)

Ok, prob is with SP also, now i have no clue??? also, IT WORKS ON MY DADS ACCOUNT IN WINDOWS???? i have sp2, windows xp pro?
 
Nortons is a virus. PS, there was a new virus that came out recently that targets Nortons. Be very very careful.
 
if you take norton off, install AVG instead, you will be surprised at the speed increase on your pc....

Norton is truely the single most worst anti virus ever created!.

What he said, Except I prefer Avast! Not out of any real reason other than I got bored of AVG. It also uses min resources.
 
why dont you make a new account for yourself, and use it for when you want to play games? seems to solve your problem.
 
Take off Nortan. Its crappy excuse for a antivirus. Worst antivirus on the market. Why do you think they give it away with systems?!! Coz they cant sell it anymore.

Get Avast! or AVG(not the best but ok) or Nod32 or any other antivirus!
 
I'll just add my voice to the chorus - ditch Nortan.

Are you also running Windows Defender and firewall? If you run them and Norton they conflict very badly.

Rather run Defender, MS Firewall and AVG (www.grisoft.com) I've never tried Avast, is it any good?
 
Is there a local mirror for AVG? I'm in my openbrowse period of the month on openweb so I can't download exe's off of .com sites. Need a .co.za site

I dont trust AVG anymore. Found a virus/worm on my pc the day i installed avast to check out the program. Avast has daily updates, its got the following:
