Downloading from www.easynews.com

nope... The IS news server is local.

Easynews is all international... So unless u find another local news server... your stuck with IS news server.

Sometimes its slow, sometimes it moderate. With spikes of high-speeds.

BUt anything on www.easynews.com will go thru international.

www.easynews.com is a News server. So for you to be able to use them nicely.. you will have to get hold of an Uncapped International ADSL account.

Openweb has uncapped 512K at R1369 incl vat i think. Then u can use easynews for the amount of cap u buy from easynews *they also have a usage limit on each easynews account*. Openweb's uncapped has no cap at all. So afterwards u can still use the IS news server, wether its slow, average or giving high speed bursts.

Another way would be this :
I browsed the easynews website, buy the $9.98 for 20 Gigabytes offer, and then buy 2x 10gig internaitonal accounts from any ISP.
(at www.saol.com they offer a 10gig international cap account for R499*

But then again, u would propably pay close to Openweb's 512K uncapped price for those 2x 10gig. Might aswell get the uncapped and enjoy the fast News from easynews. then enjoy IS news server after that. Plus all the international / local access u want..

Thanks for the info.

At the moment I have about 300GB that I can download from Easynews from all the months that just carries over.

yeah, then u suggest u go for 512K uncapped with Openweb.

I know of people pulling around 130gigs a month on the uncapped

there is nothing wrong with IS news server at the moment its actually above 30kb all day which i find is just fine

I'm talking of HIGH-HIGH speeds.

Personally i also use the is news server, and i pull around 40-80kb per sec almost constant. For me thats enaugh.

i know of some people using the easynews, getting around 120-300kb per sec constant.

Try 400kb/s and up. Life is so nice when you still have some international cap left :o
