PSP Firmware 3.02 OE-A

Well, ive just got my son a psp for christmas..... but i must also say that i'll be delving into this thing as well......
 
im not to sure about downgrading my psp to 1.5 then upgrading it again to the customfirmware. i can feel a Fu(kup coming

Well i had (actaully my son had) the psp for about 1hr before it broke.

So the christmas pressie turned out to be a balls-up - returned it to be fixed, takes 2 weeks.

You guys are looking for trouble if you instal kevins suggested firmwar....... Your PSP might just end up where mine is right now.....
 
ok mail him and hacked my psp. its working great. I like the way u can switch between roms... @bloodles how did he break it in a hour?
 
Start/on off button just broke - its loose. Damn thing.
 
u will neva get a downgrade for that lol

oh and boodles my on off button is loose too. but it still works. ( I just think i need a new cover )

ps... my firmware still going strong
 
just like u will never get a downgrade for 2.01, or 2.5, or 2.8!

I believe the release of the 2.8 downgrader is imminent.

With 2.01 and 2.5, all you do is upgrade to 2.71 and then downgrade from there (assuming you dont have a TA-082 motherboard)

With a TA-082 motherboard (and a downgradeable formware) you can now downgrade to 1.5

All in all though, the new 3.02 OE firmware seems to be the ideal solution
 
ok my psp is broken ( its cos im not the only one playing on it ) so im gonna buy a new cover and one of those big joy pads... I hope it fixes it. ( the up button doesnt work and the joy pad is loose. it will just move by itself :( )

[edit] does anyone know how they emulate ps1 games on da psp? cos I want to get resident evil 3 on my psp... it should be good [/edit]

If you have the new 3.02 OE firmware, you can rip your PS1 game and play it!

Check the qj forums!
 
ok I cant find any good website that can explain this to me...
Im gonna rip RE3 for psx to psp BUT I mean there are 2 shoulder buttons missing and a analogue stick.. wtf how does the games work?

I got it :D I upgraded my current ( OE - A ) firmware to the new OE - B firmware. now all that I need to do is find a download for Hot shots 2 psx then I can start to convert my psx games to psp.

I have a link for the download... ( I uploaded the firmware and its the same one I used so I know it works ) but im not to sure if I can put it on here...
 
trust me, the latest firmware 3.03 OE-A(2) is awesome, can overclock the PSP to 333 so some big racing games dont lag, and no need to devook to simulate a firmware. just copy the ISO games onto the mem stick and off you go. What could be easier?
if you guys think that upgrading your firmware to the latest patched firmware by Chaos Zero is risky, consider that at least Chaos Zero includes a recovery solution, where Sony does not!!

I have been using patched firmware and running my psp at 333mhz for over a month now, no problems at all, works like a bomb!
