Hi

I am an old OSX user and am trying to set up a Nokia N70 as a modem using Cell C. I have found a 3G script on the net, and I'm using the following settings:

APN: guest
Pw: guest

Name: Internet

I have also left it all blank to no avail. It logs on, authenticates and them quickly disconnects. If I leave the PW out it asks for one, but also disconnects.

Please advise if you can. I can connect to vodacom no problem, but I need Cell C.
Regards
Mike

Hi

Some things to check first:

can you access the internet on the phone itself using that apn?(this should prove that the apn is active for your sim)
have you checked your credit?

Also I see that you say you have downloaded a script - was this from taniwha.org.uk?(as far as I'm aware that is the only site that has scripts for the mac) If so your phone number field must show the apn and not the dial up number.

cell c settings don't require a username and password so those can be left blank.

Hope this helps.

Why do you have to use a script you "found on the net"??
Surely Apple OSX and Nokia have a solution....!!
