Are MTN really bringing out new prepaid data rates? Anything as good as 50c/meg, and ull gain me as a high end data user

lol in other words... I don't know ?
;)
just pokin fun

@PiesangTee

Okay you want the truth

No not 50cents a meg keep an eye on the press on the 26th of Jan there will be something nice it's got nothing to do with a tariff's but it has got something to do with one of the bundles okay now that's all I can say

Who was it that had that signiture:"Give me cheaper prices, not value added packages" or something similar?

Anyways it seems like it has been so long since the cellphone companies have done anything with their tariff's. Also I think the single most important reason people get upset with all these companies incl. Telkom is that there is absolutely no movement, no defined change in any of these companies that can be remarked upon.

One month we get a bit of hype, then we are unimpressed and we return back to where we began. It takes months for any of these companies to do anything spectacular, for some it takes years, and for Telkom its a simple Never!!

Even Virgin Mobile have done absolutely nothing since their launch that has inspired me in any way.

Consumers want to benefit and not feel like being left in the dark. Its about time we wake up the next morning and see "Telkom cut prices in half!!" on the paper headlines. LOL wishful thinking :)

Anyways @ MTN Data Dude thanks for sharing that little bit, its certainly nice to see a little something coming our way. Pity Im on Vodac tho :( but if the Bundle has something worth while Im there the next day purchasing my Sim Card :)

Data costs

 Hmmmmm I just got me a E220 Data card, no data bundles loaded yet!
Should I be keeping an eye one the 26th ... :)

The last time you said we should wait for December!!! Do you remember??
Seems like Mtn is playing the gun again!

Maybe rolover bundles? (i aint interested)

Maybe a bundle for unlimited usage? (Wishfull thinking, keep dreaming)

How about out of bundle price to drop to effective in bundle rate? [R100 for 100 meg, and after the 100 meg R1/meg] (Still too high but might get attention, and still not interested.)

If MTN wants me, and loads of other users back, they will have to give us, basic low out of bundle cost. WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN BUNDLES, WE WANT BUNDLES TO DISAPPEAR, WE WANT EQUAL PRICING FOR HIGH AND LOW END USERS!

But i made a note of the 26th in my diary. It reads:
Keep eye on press regarding MTN DATA, but dont expect too much

I sincerely hope i do get surprised, You will then be a well loved person @ MTNDD

PS:No offence intended to any employees of MTN, their families, friends, or any other members on this forum, this is merely an user opinion!

To be honest it really is time the network started dropping the prices. Voice network has paid for itself long ago, How about flat rate like R300/m all local calls free, pay for national calls. or R300 all the gprs u can use?.. Lets start been competive and have the consumer instead of the shareholders greed in mind.

The network business is not once-off investment and after that it is money for jam. If you look at the annual financial reports you'll see that MTN is spending more money on expanding and upgrading the network now than it did in any of the past 13 years.

That said, shareholders greed is a tough slavemaster...
