I mate Kjam GPRS and MMS settings

I hate to bother you with this , but you have realy impressed me as someone who knows his stuff and goes the distance (and flattery will get me far ;) )

can you pst the mms and gprs settings for the Imate Kjam

My wife's Imate is working on gprs , but we can not get it to send MMS's I tried all I can think of and no luck.

unfortunatly the auto setup thingy does'nt wotk on kjam.

Here you go

Imate K Jam GPRS Settings

Click Start

Click Settings

Click Connections at the bottom

Select Connections

Choose add a new modem

Enter a name for your Modem: MTN GPRS

Select your Modem: Cellular Line GPRS

Press next.

Access Point Name: enter myMTN

Press next.

User information:

• Username: Leave Blank

• Password: Leave Blank

Press Finish
 
MMS Settings for the K Jam

Click Start

Click Settings

Click on the Connections tab

Click the Connections icon

Click on the Advanced tab

Click Select Networks

Under the first drop down list, click New

Enter a name: MTN-MMS

Click New on the modem tab

Name for the connection: MTN-MMS

Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)

Click Next

Enter Access Point Name: myMTN

Click Next

User Name: mtnmms

Password: mtnmms

Leave the ‘Domain’ blank

Click Finish

The MTN-MMS name will appear in the mms settings list

Click Ok

Under the Network Management settings list, change the top drop down menu option to reflect My ISP

Click OK

Click OK again to navigate back to the Settings screen

Click X to navigate back to the Desktop screen

Messaging

Click Tools at the bottom of the screen

Configuration

MMS Settings

Click Connect Via: select MTN-MMS

Click on the Servers tab at the bottom of the screen

Click New

Enter Server Name: MTN-MMS

Enter Gateway 196.011.240.241

Enter Server Address: http://mms.mtn.co.za/mms/wapenc

Click OK

Click on the Preferences tab

In the Connect to Server drop down list, select MTN-MMS

Click OK
 
And if you want the Email settings

Start
Messaging
Tools
New Account
Your name: e.g Lesley
Email address: [email protected]
Configurations
Next
User name : Msisdn#
Password : mtnloaded passowrd
Domain : if necessary
Save password: Tick
Next
Server type: Pop3
Account name: MTNloaded
Network: The Internet
Next
Incoming server: mail.mtnloaded.co.za
Require SSL connection : Unticked
Outgiong server: mail.mtn.co.za
Outgoing server requires authentication : Unticked
Next:
Download the following messages : All messages
First 500 bytes
Next
Connects automatically: Personal choice
Press Finish and Done x3

Nope copy and paste

Setup doc's that I did on the K jam at a earlier stage of life open doc ctrl c and ctrl v and Bob's your uncle

No prob's I'm out of here

I Mate K-Jam

Hi

Can anyone help me with my K-Jam I mate. I tried setting up the phone to receive MMS's but everytime download a message it just connects and then fails.
