MTN menu updates prepaid and contract sims.

P WIB 2.4 - prepaid - 078 prefix number

32K W2 - contract - 083 prefix number

MTN Menu Updates for cellphone banking of which I am a regular user dont seem to work very nicely on the contract sim , always says there is a menu update for which 1 must dial 0860111123 for the latest version of the menu which I've done a few times , but despite being assisted and updates sent , fails to update the menu.I see the contract sim can only store 1 cellphone banking "profile" whereas the prepaid can store 2.

Any ideas on what to do.

Question for MTN DD or other mtn menu user.

When using the banking menu in the MTN Menu, after downloading and selecting my bank, FNB, it requests a access number, what number should I enter here?
 
AFAIK this is because it needs to be activated from the bank side as well



FNB & ABSA you have to go to the branch to complete the activation

Hi

I am struggling to understand the issue here -- as far as I know, none the updates to services on the MTN Menu require you to dial 0860111123.

To achieve an update, you must use the Updates menu provided on the SIM itself.
Is it possible to get more details --- The cell phone number's and which banking application, etc.

Sorry I saw your PM with the numbers but if you could please do me a favor and send it to me again I'd appreciate it

I already had it activated by the bank, I use it with *120*321# but I want to use it through the mtn menu

Not to clued up with the MTN Banking stuff sorry so I'm relying on the product owner for any info on MTN mobile banking

To the best of my knowledge, FNB no longer supports a wig banking application. They have sms, ussd, and now WAP

Ok I'm not 100% sure myself, I registered for it but never actually tried to use it, forgot what PIN I used for it lol and don't feel like going to a branch.
 
the access number you refer to is your account number.

User nr is always 1.

The pin is the pin you set up for your mobile banking.


Hope this helps. I use the ABSA menu on my phone to pay my bills and it works fine.

Now if only I can get closure on the MNP issue w.r.t handset and charges to MNP number resolved so quickly.
