Some forumites may agree with the logic above as they also believe in evolution as they self proclaimed. I do not! Its pathetic, the slow pace at which the Govt progresses and the old excuses is now worn out. Neotel so far have made little detectable difference and as they claim that they do not want to compete on price, Its just more of the same Govt shiite.

And why should it take so much time I wonder??? Because time is money for these guys....serious money! So hell they love stalling the issue over and over and over and over and over again!!!!!

Somewhere in the back of my mind I wish that one day these people will wake up and realize its too late, South Africa becomes a wash out and we can never ever catch up to the rest of the world again. It almost seems like a reality already so its no joke.

However I live in this country and so do many good people, all who don't deserve this and should not be affected by the likes of the true Idiots running the whole agenda.

This may be a repetitive article but we need it out there everyday, everywhere, all the time. It needs to be drummed into people heads so that the man on the street can get truly fed up too. I heard the story on our local radio station (Algoa fm) today as a headline, and I'm glad, it's kind of the idea behind the actions of the TAG group, to get as much airtime on this issue as possible

It received excellent exposure all over the show. Was on Radio Pretoria today as well and I think it will still enjoy some TV coverage as well. Great work by the TAG guys!
 
No matter what you all claim, Telkom and its bosses, think of you all as gamers who want to be able to download porn cheaply and fast. And only if you guys manage to get into the driving seat of Telkom and manage to keep honest, nothing is gonna change fast or at all.

We all know this and hope it vain we are incorrect
 
If 2000 people phoned Telkom and Cancelled all ISP and Telephone services, I am sure Telkom will stand up listen.. their bottom line is all they can see.

Flood the helpdesk for the entire day with cancellations... it should create a nice activity graph for telkom to see :-P
 
Telkom management prolly enjoyed the laugh and then wiped with the article when they were done....

While this may be true for some, I see nothing wrong with the following:
Downloading demo's of games is something I've never done. These go up to 2gig (OMG more than half my cap). Gaming magazines don't offer ALL the demo's and sometimes waiting for a month after the demo came out is not cool if you waited for it for more than 2 years. No downloading of game movies either. At 50mb-300mb a piece: it's just not viable. 100mb for game patches goes around all to often these days. As for actualy playing games: anyone been playing a bit Battlefield on the net...

I can go on about things like YouTube, watching -legal- shows on the net, movie trailers, but in the end I've read so many articles highlighting one point always: the cost of doing business in SA. Wow if this escpapes Telkom's, government's, ICASA's, etc. comprehension then Antitrust, Helkom, MyADSL, journalists and many others could just shut up, cut their phone lines and break their cellphones, because we sure as hell are not living in the 21st century here in SA.

Is beside the point i paid for my part, how i use it is my business (well and telkom's)
