Yup. Admittedly it's the same way in most places (ie. UK), but a, it's cheap, and b, you get totally free national calls because everything past your exchange is VoIP anyway.

Mauritius ahead of SA , well thats one small island
and 1 Mb/s access is far cheaper (SAFE) than Telkom pricing
to the SAT3 cable.
Zimbabwe has 8% broadband access better than its neighbour
Zambia of 2% and wealthier neighbour Botswana at 3.2 %,
so this excludes the new DSL rollout.
ADSL available in these towns in Botswana
Gabarone,Francistown, Palapye, Lobatse, Jwaneng,
Orapa/Letlhakane, Maun and Kasane.
(Pretty much the whole of Botswana)
