Listened to Nikiwe's last show this morning. SABC really is losing two of its best journo's. :(

This is complete b^&^cks!! This is tantamount to admitting that the SABC is no longer a voice for the people. Censoring who can and cannot appear on SABC is rubbish and the comment about "Zim" is right on the money. We have to stand up to this kind of thing. How does the saying go? "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing". If we accept the "little" transgressions, how long before newspapers are being censured, farms are being taken etc etc? I am appalled!!

What do you suggest doing then?
 
Call me paranoid but this is just another piece in the puzzle of the anc keeping our population uneducated and uninformed. With no access to internet, pathetic public schooling and the public broadcaster acting as a propaganda arm of the ruling party, it will be easy for the anc to get the vast majority of the population to think what they want them to think, vote how they want them to vote and do what they want them to do.

SABC should become subscription based... NOT LICENCE BASED!
i.e. I should be able to get DSTV without SABC and not pay a tv license IMO.

Sure but then who would pay for the anc to have their propaganda wing broadcasting to all those impressionable people who wouldn't have money to pay for the subscription?
