Shuttleworth invests R25 million in SA SEO company

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't ppl being doing this kind of stuff for years in the UK and US already? Didn't Google got pissed off a year or so ago with these guys and changed their search algorithm accordingly to disrupt search optimisation?

correct

Google does not get pissed off with search optimisation methods. Google gives preference to sites that are well constructed and conform to accessibility standards such as clear text, and correct use of meta tags, and useful content, which is what SEO companies should be doing. Google gets pissed with techniques that are not search engine friendly like link farms, cloaking, site duplication, pay per click fraud and whole host of bad things.

I've optimised websites for many companies and they get listed on the first page in Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

There are good and bad sides to search engine optimisation. Just make sure you play on the right side of the search engine law.

I'll be publishing underhanded tactics some firms use on my website so you can learn about what to avoid. Check my sig for more info
