The bandwidth required for watching online television is, of course, not designed for South African users. The government has spent years saying it will try to lower the cost of bandwidth, and has failed catastrophically, so this service will eat a typical one-gigabyte cap in ten hours flat. Not to mention that bittorrent is often disabled by South African telecoms providers, who wallow in the luxury of not having to figure out an economic way to offer such services.

Interesting that in the US the regulating FCC follows tech, not the other way around. South Africa is so "gat oor kop" that it just isn't funny anymore.
