which one? ps3, wii or xbox360

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but which one should I get?
I can get either wii and if wii NTSC or PAL models? PS3 or xbox360, so which is the one to go for? The xbox 360 concerns me as it is now over a year old - so am i getting outdated technology, and then with the wii are the games and graphics as good as the other 2?
If i buy a USA model P3 would I have any issues here? would it be better to wait for local launch?:confused:
 
oh goodness, here we go again....

(my opinion: Wii for fun, 360 for guaranteed quality + tech, PS3 for unproved, but very potential tech)

Xbox 360 is currently the most powerful console. The PS3 states it is more powerful but they cannot prove it.

The 360 has more games. The PS3 doesn't actually have any games yet.

The 360 is half the price of the PS3 for the same quality, most reviews say better quality.

The 360's online service is miles ahead of the PS3

The 360 may be a year old but all that means is that the developers have come to grips with the technology and are making better games. The 360's and PS3's tech specs where decided at the same time so they actually have the same age technical specs. It's just the Blu-Ray that made the PS3 get delayed.

The Wii looks like a nice add on to the Xbox 360.

The PS3 currently offers nothing except Resistance Fall of man which is not as good as Gears of War..

So you work out which I am suggesting :D
 
The game developers will make games for ... yip PS3 thats where they make their most money.

There will be more games available for the PS3 than any other console mentioned!

Wow serious... Can you show me something to back that up or did you just pull it out your @ss :D...

Seriously the developers will always develop for the biggest console base. Currently that is the 360.

If the PS3 ever does overtake it then you may have a point, however by that time the PS3 might be a reasonable price and then I will buy one.

I am not anti-Sony I am anti-Paying over R6500 plus extra controllers and only being able to buy 1 game. Then being told I won't have force feedback in my racing games.

In 2 years if PS3 is outselling the 360 and it costs less than R4000 then I might get one....

The question is what to buy now.
The 360 is miles ahead and will be well into next year at the least. It has a 9 million unit head start and over 200 games available already.

Not only does your list have "Unreal Tournament 2007" which has been renamed about 3 weeks ago it is not yet released and neither is.

Alan Wake
Afrika
Brother in Arms....
etc etc...

Thanks for proving my point, the PS3 only has Resistance, Sonic and a bunch of games that are already out on the 360.

They have had 1 game released since Launch and that was Sonic which was roundly hammered for being a terrible game.

Lol not sure what you implying but if you saying that its because it not available you wrong, I know of 2 people that have N4Speed carbon on PS3 and its not clickable.
 
JK8 the fact is that developers have come to grips with the 360's hardware - they're more at ease programming for it. If they encounter difficulties with the PS3's hardware, chances are that they wouldn't bother seeing that the 360 has a larger base anyway. How do you think the 1st PS abolished the Sega Saturn in the first place, which had a ripple effect with the PS2 and Dreamcast. $ony seems to be making the same mistakes that Sega did.

Poor Sega saturn lol!!
Sony wont make the same mistakes, Sony owns alot of the ancilary companies like Eidos and EA, the developers have to go with Sony!

The 3rd generation PS will keep up to all the hype, regardless of price. Sony knows this, EA wants it to!
 
But dude EA releases to the 360 day and date with the PS3 so I don't see how EA gives them any competitive advantage?

EA has sold more next gen titles on the 360 and will do for the foreseeable future so that doesn't count as a bonus to the PS3.

Anyway The question at the beginning of this thread was answered really. You are in the HUGE minority of 1 :D...
