Hey MTNDD,

Quick question...

I will be away for more than 3 months and that means I might get my SIM deactivated. I'm on prepaid on course. What can I do to keep it activated and I don't risk losing my airtime?

Thanks
D

PM with your cell number I'll see what I can do for you

There is a feature you can activate to keep you SIM active. Dial 141 option 9 then option 1 or 2 - if I remember correctly its called number for life extender. There is a cost associated with it (I think R15 or R30) that will be deducted from your account every 90days but your SIM will not be deleted. The exact cost will be announced before you activate. You can deactivate it again when you return and use your SIM again.

I don't have a prepaid Sim with me else I would give the exact options.

Good day,

I'm not sure if this is still possible I'll check with the Voice product owner and advise ASAP

Okay here's the feedback from Geoff

The cost is R20 and you are correct it is option 9 on the 141 IVR. The Xtender product will keep the SIM active for an additional 90 days once the access 4 life period has expired.

thanks
