Waiting Since Saturday for data support to help me - VM

Cant connect using phone (SE v630i) as modem via pC. Phone works fine by itself browsing.

My other samsung phone works with virgin sim, as a modem through PC.

I first logged prob. on Sat. I've phoned every day since. Someone from Data support phoned me on Tuesday, and because i have win2k, he needed to gather up different info cause they use XP. Its nearly Thursday and he aint phoned back.

The guys at 123 dont seem to have any answers for me, and i've been through it all 6 million times with them, and another 9 million times by myself. lol

In the mean time, my voda sim is chewing my R2 a meg like it aint eaten for a month or so.

C'mon Virgin, pull ya finger out. I would like to sort out my connection probs.

Did you put in the modem string and set the APN to vdata

If you can find something i havent done - I'll eat my hat.

But seriously, i've tried many things. Modem strings not working, i've tried a few diff. ones, and it actually bombs out instantly. When i use no modem string, it does at least go as far as 'registering PC on network', or whatever it says.

Yeh, apn is vdata.

Under phone and modem options,click the modem ,and then properties. under one oe the tabs then ther must be a "querry modem". click on that, and try connecting again. In the past it helped for me. If not, post the error message you get,maybe someone can help you more then.

The 'virgin' profile on my phone has an ID nos - which in my case is number 5.

Now that number 5 needed to be in the init. string on PC, and also it needed to be in the Dialup nos.
