Yah i was looking at my granny's bill, she receives calls on it mostly so she not on any closer package but the interesting thing i found was this.. a whole lot of 1 to 5 sec calls to land line numbers.. wth? plus they charge 52c for each which adds up. now why would she make a call to a number and put down in a second and not call back? i.e. are they charging for engaged/ringing calls?

Does she have an alarm system?

yup, but its not the same number.. will check about answering machine tho.

Make sure she gets the pensioner's discount on the line rental. Telkom don't offer that automatically.

yah? she pays R87 excl vat. how much should it be? my grandfather died last week so we looking at cutting cost for the few week she is still living on her own[she deciding to stay with my uncle/aunts/us]

R 87,00 is normal house rate, Telkom will not back pay it either, go in and get it sorted, no point in giving them more than you should

The bill has itemised billing, get someone with closer to check out who or what the numbers are by phoning them - does sound odd

I always check my bill

It's been a few months so hopefully they've sorted it out :)
