So, Standard Bank made VirginMobile airtime available at their ATM systems.
This was really cool and I pay no transaction fee.

The thing is though, I would have really preferred it if it was available online as well.

Well I asked them about it, and they said it is going to take some time, so I went on and changed my profile and added cellphone banking, which has no extra charges either.

I downloaded opera mini 3.1 on my little Nokia 5100, connected to sbcell.co.za and logged in with my banking details.

Behold! ;) VirginMobile prepaid recharge was an option I could choose!

That's really cool, now I don't have to go to an ATM every time, and I can recharge from my cellphone :p

I thought I'd tell you all :D :cool:

I still see no VM-prepaid button on my StandardB-Internet account.

What if I use the cell C button

I just wondered whether the cell C button on the SB internet account will work if I want to charge my VM prepaid?
074 = cell c
so the 0741 could work - dont know- who knows?
 
Hi Everyone,

We are currently in the process of tying Airtime availability across our banking partners and along with that comes WAP functionality. The latter will take a while longer, but for now we are finalising the Internet side. Aside from work that is done on our side we are also relying on our partners for the roll-out. For now, our airtime is available via ATM, our retail partners - Musica, Edgars, Jet, CNA, Engen Quickshop, Checkers....and several more to be launched soon.

Thanks teraside! I've just tried and you can use http://sbcell.co.za from your computer as well.
