hey guys,
where in joburg can one buy a ds? i'm looking for a walk-in store: walk in, see ds, pay for ds, pay for animal crossing :p, go home, play ds. and where i wont have to fork out more than R1600 (R1700 absolute maximum, but mention the store anyways if its more than that) for the ds. i've almost given up. HELP ME PLEASE!

bt games is out of stock with the ds lite, was there yesterday :(

EDIT: how much do they cost at reggies and toysRus?

Honestly you are going to struggle to get one landed for much less than R1400, once you throw in VAT and shipping. Regarding colours - they are glossy so the black one shows every little fingerprint. Just keep that in mind when choosing.

I can't understand why products are released in glossy fingerprint illuminating black. It's so easy to solve - as Apple did with their Nano 8 GB in black - nice matt finish showing no prints.
 
Probably because the initial impression is that the device is sleek and shiny. I have to admit it would not give the same first impression if it was matte.

It is a pity they only sell the Ice Blue one in Japan and Asia.
 
a life long tip regarding choosing colours .... if you are buying anything with a metallic finish - always go for the matt finish ... it is so much more durable and usage friendly .... this principle can be applied to many things, eg. stainless steel toasters, bread bins,fridges, etc .... the novelty and the shiny finish wears out pretty soon ...
 
thanx for the feedback guys, managed to find it at reggies at cresta, but they only had 2 colours: pink and white. obviously took white :p.
but they only had 2 really bad games so i've now got a brand spanking new ds with no games :(. hopefully only for the night.
so, where does one find games? except bt games and reggies...
 
Take 2 has plenty ... but it's not instant gratification buying online.
