Who has been targetted by ASDL username theft

HI All,

Have you in the last year-2 years been the target of ADSL username theft, where there has been abuse on your ADSL account resulting in your account reaching its cap or exceeding the cap, due to unauthorised people using your account. Most commonly people got onto an unsecured ADSL router and retrieved the username and password.

If this has happened to you in the past, please PM me with the info as I am gathering information about this matter - and what Telkom has / has not done in the past to assist people who have had this problem.

If you have opened a case with SAPS, please mention that and advise if there has been any success out of that.

Telkom doesn't care much and apparently they just tell the folks to change their router username and password.
