Well i finally liad my hands on a Xbox 360 and played gears of war. Man what an experience i tell you. Graphics were so awsome dynamics brilliant, suberb storyline....But no matter what any1 says or tells me about a console and FPS games. IT DOES NOT WORK.. You can never play as fast as slick as you would play with a Keyboard and Mouse.

I just get so annoyed with those stupid analogs that i can never seem to get shoot them quick enough, I think its best they leave FPS and RTS games for the PC.:D

finally someone that agrees with me :D
consoles are nice for platform and racing games... but FPS is still born with a mouse in the left hand and a keyboard in the right

Fortunately there is little chance they will abandon developing FPS for the 360. Until that fateful day all I can suggest is if you dont like em dont buy em. ;)

Also works for me, but I do understands PC gamers getting frustrated.

I know at least the other guys using controllers reflexes are the same ;)

I just think it's different, Gears is also a more tactical game and not really a twitch and shoot game...

Connect your Xbox to Live! and then plays some online games with South Africans and you will see the difference...

I used to be a major PC FPS player but I find the Xbox to be more enjoyable.

It's definitely a bit of a paradigm shoft in terms of gameplay, but you do get used to it.

IMO keyboard and mouse is still better, but a controller's not nearly as bad as I used to think it was.

It struck me when I watched a PC noob trying to play an FPS for the first time. kbms is as difficult to learn to play with as a controller, there are so many more buttons, and the extra accuracy can be a negative for the uninitiated. (how many times have you see guys walking aiming at their shoes ;))

If you take the time to learn the new interface, you find it's not so bad.

I personally cannot wait to play a FPS against PC players from the Xbox...

Live! Anywhere.... I am sure the pc guys will wipe the floor with console players but you never know... there might be some suprises coming up.... All in all it's an exciting time to be a gamer.

I must admit I prefer the xbox controls...and with xbox live anywhere it would be interesting to see the pc guys against some of those hardcore 12 year olds you find online that run circles around even the experienced gamer...with a xbox controller:eek:

Well the word today on Shadowrun is:

a. It's less than 4 months away
b. The game is much of a muchness console versus PC.

It works for me too. I suppose with time & practice you will get the hang of it. It also took me a while when I first played Halo on the original Xbox but then it became 2nd nature to use the joypad. Actually in the end its even better than a keyboard/mouse combo coz all the controls are at your fingertips and you dont loose time whilst looking for a specific button.

My 2 cents.
