There are several DC++ hubs on the University of Stellenbosch network which I know can be accessed from a wired access point (I have set up DC++ v0.698 successfully on many PCs using the wired access points), but I can not for the life of me get DC++ to connect to the hublist at http://hmm.villamanne.sun.ac.za:1111/ or to any of the other hubs (all of which only seem to be connected to the internal network, not the internet) using a wireless access point. I have tried and failed miserably on several laptops.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? The laptops are perfectly able to access web pages on the internal network - it's only DC++ which is giving problems.

Hey Edwe is it possible for u to give me a quick explanation on how to set up dc++ for a wired access point on campus?

Like protz said, they block the ports cause DC can really kill a wireless network.
