I tried searching for this on the forum, but didn't find anything useful, so perhaps one of you guys can help...
I'm working from home (Cape Town), using Telkom ADSL 1024kbps and also Telkom ISP with option 3GB Shaped TIpA Advanced.
This is working fine except for one thing: I often have to access an international VPN - this is very slow and often just disconnects. Am I right in believing that the shaped nature of my Telkom option is to blame, i.e. since the VPN is not using one of the standard HTTP/FTP/SSL/etc. shaped protocols?
If so, what is the best option to use for an international VPN? Any one of the Telkom 4GB unshaped options? Another ISP?
