Surecom router can't access local sites international works fine, any ideas?

Hi

I've formatted a WinXP box and reset and flashed a surecom EP-4704SX router.

Reloaded everything fresh so there is no contamination of spyware, etc.

I can access cnn.com, bbc.com, many international sites etc but sites like iol.co.za, iafrica.com, webmail.cybersmart.co.za timeout. I can ping them, but no http access. I'm just not sure what else to try. I've tried openweb, cybersmart and telkom accounts...no joy.

Any ideas?
 
You run Routesentry or any sort of routing tables to differentiate between local and international traffic?
