The Mac OS X 10.4.9 Update (combo) updates any version of Mac OS X 10.4.x to version 10.4.9 on both Intel-based Macs and PowerPC-based Macs. (If you are updating from a previous version of Mac OS X 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 see this article.)

The intel version is 163mb

About iPhoto 6.0.6

Strange that they will update so soon to Leopard's release.

Not really. Even if leopard was being released tomorrow this update makes sense. Not everyone will upgrade straight away (or at all) so they still need to fix issues.

They still support 10.3 as well - I see there is a security update ready to download for that too.

Updates

Yeah I think they usually take most OS to .9, Last updater for Panther I think was 10.3.9? Now Tiger is 10.4.9 :P

My personal opinion is that the release of Leapard will be at Apple's WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) In June.

However there are Rumors about that Apple will be hosting a special event at NAB this year and will be releasing Leopard as well as Apple's Latest Final Cut Extreme.

10.4.10 might look odd but there's nothing to say they couldn't do it.

Cool my itunes, iphoto and intel MBP is updated... seems to run a bit faster and allocating the memory better.
